Thanks for that valuable information. That’s very helpful! The goal would be to have it written in the contract that I’m allowed to list the house or unit on Airbnb in a neighborhood that doesn’t have regulations against.

@Tchaka Owen I house hack the home that I currently own which will remain that way. I'm looking to purchase a rent to own and airbnb that house. That's why I'm thinking I would need the owners consent until I become the owner of the property.

I'm looking for ways to purchase a property so that I can do Airbnb the two things holding me back is that I don't have a large sum of money for a down payment & my debt to income ratio is too high to get financing on another property due to my student loans and the mortgage on my primary residence. Start February 1st I'll begin house-hacking which will free up funds. I'm considering purchasing a rent-to-own property so that I can start doing Airbnb on that property which will allow me time to pay down debt and increase my income. I've just started doing my research on rent-to-own properties and contracts and there are a few more cons than pros for a person that would actually live there but since I wouldn't live there and use as a rental property I feel like the pros out weigh the cons for me. What are you guys thoughts around purchasing a rent-to-own and using it for Airbnb? Good investment or Bad investment?

@Jeff Greenberg

Hi Jeff, and thank you! Yes there is constant construction going on here! That's a great idea I'll look for that on the meetup app. Thanks

Hi Carley, I've considered that, but I haven't found any on the market in the areas I'm interested in.

Hello BP!

I reside in the metro Atlanta, Ga area. I currently work full time as an accountant.After speaking with friends and family, observing others whom I deem as successful and/or wealthy I’ve come to realize that real estate is not only one of the greatest investments one can make but it’s also a great way to build wealth and retire early.

This September I will be starting the process of purchasing my first home through the NACA program which is a first time home buyers program.I will definitely partake in house hacking until the house is paid off and I'm able to turn it into a rental property and move on with my career as a real estate investor.

My goal here on the BP website to network, build or join a strong team that has the same end goal of building wealth, retire early from a 9am-5pm, being able to help others, and learn from others.

I agree, I'd prefer to see a picture of the person I am potentially doing business with. A profile picture in my opinion can tell you a little about a person. The purpose of this site is for professional networking so I'd expect to see professionalism within the profile picture. When I see cartoon characters, dogs, club pictures, etc. I'm forces to believe they aren't taking this serious and I'd have to pass.
