Kind of a rookie question here but do any of you require a new background check when renewing your tenant’s lease?

Hello everyone! I am a brand new landlord in VA and I want to be as successful as possible! With that being said, what are the "must haves" for my VA Lease Agreements to protect me and my investment legally? Also, should I have an attorney draft my lease agreement or is there another way? Any help is appreciated!

@Lance Neighbors Thank you all for your replies! I definitely think I'll simplify things by creating two accounts (savings and checking) for each LLC rather than each property! You guys are awesome!
