Post: How do I start investing as a student?

I am currently an undergraduate Business-Economics major at UCLA trying to figure out where to begin. I have watched numerous BP podcasts and read a couple RE books so I have a pretty rudimentary knowledge at the moment. I am extremely motivated to start, however, I see that my options are limited because I am an 18 year old student with no ability to get a loan. What is the best way to begin investing in RE and how could I find a mentor / guide to help me?
