Thank you for the guidance Jim. I think for now, after having just moved to Houston and starting a new job, I am going to go with the online option. Especially since I just found a $176 groupon deal for the course plus exam prep (Thanks@Greg H.). I know the drawbacks of such a move, losing out on classroom interaction, possible networking opportunity and many first hand experiences, however, given its price... I hope with some perseverance, flexibility. and god willing, I will get started with my real estate career in this manner. Thank you all for you help. God bless.

Hello everyone,

I want to get my real estate licences in Texas and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a school or organization to complete my basic 180 hours of education. I am going to do this online, or at least that's what I think is best... There are so many different organizations offering this education and with prices ranging from 400 to 2k..

If anyone has any experiences with getting their basic coursework done in Texas, please help me with some input. I mostly need input on a quality school to get this education from. However I am interested as well, if anyone thinks that online is definitively better, given its conveniences or have you had experiences where classroom work propelled your career?
