I think your plan is perfect. Not all care about " the college experience". I sure did not. Although I lived on campus and graduated with a BS. Keep your eye on your goals. You sound mature and focused. Thank you for your service. I wish others at your age were as goal oriented as you. No offense to the person who gave you advice to live the college life.... it just was not my thing. People always yell at me because I don't relax. I work 2 full time jobs and own my own business.... I love what I do ( did) so it was my fun and work combined.
