Ashawndra, wholesaling isn't illegal. Read this, it is full of great info http://www.biggerpockets.com/real-estate-investing Find your local REIA in your town to meet other investors. Read all the threads on wholesaling, you can use the search box at the top of the page. Read and ask questions. Hope this helps.

One way that works for me is to go to Craigslist, look for people offering cash to buy homes. They are usually in the real estate services section. (I Buy Houses, Need to sell your property?, Cash Buyers, etc.) Contact them by email and ask what kind of properties are they looking for. They usually answer right away. File their information for future use.
