Hello BP nation

There are so many uncertain things when you don't know what you don't know. And I have so many things that I don't know... I need to ask for good advices on my situation.

My father in law has a 3/3 single family home in woodland, CA. I'm not really sure about the deep details. He purchased before the 08'crash for 630k. Now it's worth about 570k. He wants to sell it and buy new house that is about 550k-600k.

My questions are 1) what are the options on selling/possible way of making money on the old house and not lose money? 2) is it wide to buy the new house now? I ask this because I don't want him to lose money again for buying the new house before a possible recession.

Thanks for the advice on advance.

Kyohei

@Bruce Petersen Wow, great advice. I appreciate that. If anyone says "investing in real estate is easy " I will show you a liar. Hard work includes deep preparations. Do you know if there are anyone like "guru" I should be careful for?

@Jerel Ehlert Thank you for the advice. I've been listening to podcast like Whitney Sewell, real estate guy, real estate espresso, and of course BP. I just started finding blogs about syndication on the forum which I'm excited about. Also, I'm going to read books that's more focused on syndication.

I'm studying to build syndication business, I want to be on the active side of syndication which I believe is GP? I really want to take some syndication course sometime soon, but I need to have this question cleared. 1. Do I need to be earning certain number of income? 2. Do I need to be a accredited inverter? 3. Any course recommendation? Thanks to everyone in advance for your help! I love BP Nation!

Hello, BP nation! I've created my BP account about 3 months ago... I don't even know why I didn't post a thing on the forum. I'm sure I'm not the only one who just sits around while opportunities are passing by, and you don't even know it. well, but here I am. Ready to be social on media!

The truth is, I didn't know what I wanted to do with real estate. For the past few months, I've read, listened to podcasts, and even attended seminars about real estate (everyone knows the rich dad education, right?). It only got me thinking too much, and spent too much money, now I think of it.

I don't regret the fact that I spent a lot of money. I learned so much because I spent money on it. My money! But, enough is enough. There comes a point where action must happen. So here is the thing. I think if anyone is still reading this, I know you are someone who cares, and want to take actions. I want to hear from you. I'm looking for someone who I can talk occasionally about real estate. Just don't spam me. I will kindly reject all trash people.

Talk to you soon!
