Thanks for your reply @Gaetano Ciambriello

I would be cutting it very close to that but could maybe make up some days by coming back to PA on some weekends.

Planning on house hacking a duplex in my home town (Pennsylvania) in the summer of 2020.

I know that to qualify for an FHA loan, the property needs to be your primary residence.

I go to university at an out of state school in Maryland.

I rent an apartment in Maryland and am only in my hometown (Pennsylvania) for about 5 months out of the year.

Would I be able to qualify the duplex in Pennsylvania as my primary residence during the summer?
