Well it's been a good while and a lot has happened. I am finally settled in at my first duty station. Exploring deeper into the website currently. This place is chalk full of good information. I am trying to find a starting point. I am considering entering into a partnership to start investing to combine buying power. Is it feasible to have properties potentially across the US? As I will be moving around every 3 years. I am currently renting a house and kicking myself because I should have bought a house with a FHA loan and used that to my benefit and at the same time used it to jumpstart my investing endeavors.

Thanks for all the replies. I have just begun digging into this investment opportunity. I have spent a few hours looking into different options and I'm not quite sure how I want to go. I do know that I would have to utilize a property management company due to time and travel constraints. Is it generally a good idea to have most properties in the same area or would it be manageable to have them spread out? Thanks again for all the pointers and links to reference.

Hello All,

I am a 22 year old that just commissioned into the military and finally have job stability. I am wanting to look into  investing in rental properties but I'm not positive where to start. I would like to know if this is feasible while maintaining a job and keep in mind I won't be stationary in a city for longer than 3 years. I am looking for advise in that area and my next course of action I should take. I appreciate your time in advance.
