Just up the road (North) at Grand Canyon Junction is where all the STR glamping sites seem to prefer. I imagine for the dark(er) sky setting

Be weary of STR's, they were great when the market was great. They have slowed down, they require cash reserves, they take all your time, and are not as easy as people make it seem.

Williams, AZ is a popular vacation destination and popular STR town. A quick search says there are a couple hundred airbnb's in Williams and the surrounding area (which is a lot considering how small the town is).

I don't have experience investing in Williams, only visiting. My opinion is that although it appears to be a bit saturated, it could be a good STR town because tourists will visit year round. Just need to make sure the numbers make sense of course.

You say you're new. Spend the next few months learning more about STR's. Browse the forums, listen to some of the podcasts where they talk STRs. Then after you learn more about the business, take a closer look at Williams.

Hey @Kyle Patrick, we spent about 8 days in the Sedona/Prescott/Flagstaff area a few months ago.

Williams is on the comeback trail IMHO. There is a couple of cool homes right downtown and the town itself is a cool place. It is a bit rundown IMHO, but it is coming back. Williams is putting more $$$ into tourism and the like,

It is right on the road to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It's an hour up Hwy 64.

Prices are all over the board, but I would expect to get in around 500-650k for a nice place. The average nightly rate is about $250.
