Post: Raising Down Payment Money

I am 18 years old with very little credit history and little capital. I am eager to start but can't get around the glaring issue of not having initial capital so I was wondering if there are any methods you guys would use to raise capital if you were in my shoes or is it just time to put my head down and put in long hours?

Being a beginner, the only markets that I am really tapped into at the moment are all extremely mainstream (zillow, realtor, etc.) and I see everyone saying I should learn to tap into underground markets but I can't seem to find anyone explaining how... Can anyone help with this?

I am interested in real estate but I am too young to get any mortgage from a bank. Are there things you wish you did during the stage of your life that I am? I want to get started as soon as possible with buying properties and renting them out but it just seems like I'm too young and it's too early. Are there ways around this?
