Post: Networking in Arizona (New to BP)

We're new to Bigger Pockets - But seasoned in the world of real estate investing. 


I started in real estate at the age of 19 working traditional retail real estate. Working primarily with buyers, sellers and then (due to market conditions) short sales and REOs. Due to the heavy market crash in the Phoenix real estate market, I found myself working primarily with investors looking to build rental portfolios on cheap homes and for properties to purchase, renovate and re-sell. At age 20 I remember standing in my friends fathers kitchen telling him that if we could put together $800,000 to purchase rental properties in Phoenix, we would be able to purchase and renovate 15 properties, cashflow roughly $130,000 per year in gross rents and in 3-4 years we would likely double the initial investment. Turns out, I was 100% correct - Unfortunately, my friends dad didn’t go for it…

In 2010 (at the age of 23) I started my own real estate brokerage catering specifically to investors. I started a trustee sale bid service where we acquired just over 500 homes at Maricopa county auctions. We’ve invested and returned roughly $60,000,000 in Arizona real estate. In 2012 we began the same process in Denver Colorado and the surrounding counties in the area. Between 2012 - 2014 we have worked with some of the largest residential real estate funds in the United States to underwrite and acquire properties on their behalf - As of February 2015 we have been a part of over 400 transactions acquiring rental properties for these funds.

In 2013 and 2014 we began investing in multi family in the greater Phoenix area. We specifically went after multi family that was either under managed or completely neglected by the owners (fenced off, boarded windows, etc). All value add projects with our investors. In the last 36 months we have acquired over 300 doors in the greater Phoenix area. Offering a investment opportunity for our clients to have cash flow, a strong equity position in multi family and an investment that offers great tax benefits for a depreciating commercial asset. During this time period we also began building custom spec houses as an entry into the higher end market.

Currently, our day to day includes underwriting properties for investors looking for rental properties, investors looking to flip and wholesaling properties. We have relationships throughout the valley for investors to find opportunities from $20,000 properties - $2,000,000+. Our needs and wants include new investors, new properties and new channels for acquiring and selling properties. We are looking to grow our investor network and partners. We would love the opportunity to meet with new investors, wholesalers and anyone looking to invest in real estate. Our group includes realtors who specialize in investments, property management, a development team and office admin who can assist in underwriting, marketing and management for our investors and partners. We have the team, experience and market knowledge to work with and for all types of investors all across the board.
