Rookie mistake! I bought my first property under my own personal SSN instead of buying it under an LLC.

How can I protect it against potential lawsuits?

Thanks

Quote from @Logan McKay Zylstra:

Unfortunately, you would have to wait until you build up funds again or wait until your year is up living in the property and then move into your next house hack. RE investing is slower upfront until you can stack some cash-flowing assets.

Thanks for your advice. I can definitely wait a year. Can you please tell me what a house hack is?

This is excellent advice. Thanks.

Hi all! My husband and I bought duplex early this year to get in the game of RE investing. We got an FHA 3.5% in both of our names

We would like get a second duplex(or any property investment) but putting 20% down on a conventional loan its not doable at this time because we don’t have that much in liquid funds.

What would be a good move forward to continue growing our investment portfolio?

We are open to all ideas.

Thanks!

Hello community! My husband and I just bought a duplex in the state of Florida that comes with one unit already  occupied with tenants (we are moving in to the other side).

Please recommend the best platform to take payments from tenants.

A couple of things to keep in mind that are important when picking a payment platform:

1)The tenants know us as the property managers, not the owners, and we want to keep it that way to eliminate the possibility of them taking advantage of the proximity should they have a financial challenge.

The property was purchased under our personal SSN, not an LLC.

Thank you in advance for your help.
