Hi @Joseph Scorese, thank you for putting on this event! I was so excited to attend, but unfortunately I wound up having to work this weekend. I hope that there is another event like this very soon!

As a new investor, I have a question that's going to seem extremely basic but I've been having difficulty finding a reliable, comprehensive source - What exactly are all the steps in buying and selling a house?? I'm not talking about any of the investor related aspects, but literally how to get papers from someone else's name into my own, start to finish. I am currently looking through deals for my first purchase, but I'm looking for a good resource to refer to that can describe the proper steps and average timeframes in more specific detail than just providing a numbered list.

When do contracts get signed? When is legal review advisable? What is a reasonable timeframe to allow for inspection? etc. etc. Having all of these types of fine details and order of events understood before actually getting into it would be extremely helpful and would help for me to present more professionally. I would love your thoughts on good resources for this information! Thank you for the help!

@Dmitriy Fomichenko thank you for taking the time out to send me those links and welcome me - I've already set up some keyword alerts on some interesting topics!

@Justin Windham I'll definitely be making sure to stay connected in the forums, and use all of the information from my new colleagues to continue to learn. I hope to be able to contribute back to you all soon once I get a bit more first hand experience!

I'm glad we're in the same market @John Oh, and hope we run into each other soon!

Thank you for the welcome, @Bill Hampton!

I appreciate the advice, @Daniel Kent! I've actually already signed up! It'll be cutting it close to get there in time after my job, but I plan on making every effort to get there. I'm excited to meet a group of investors so close by! I'll definitely be keeping a close eye out for other events in the area as well

Hi BiggerPockets community! My name is Kristy, and I am a newly active real estate investor! I'm a member of the medical community right now, and so I tend to be a quick study and always dive into new endeavors head-first. I've been listening to the podcast for a few months and have been doing a lot of additional research, and I'm ready to dig in and get started!

I'm located in Philadelphia and primarily interested in multi-family buy and holds. Ideally, I would like to invest in Philadelphia, but I am also very familiar with the surrounding New Jersey area and would be open to this area as well. I would love to connect with other investors, even if our focuses do not align exactly. I'm looking to become a part of the community in this area!

Any advice or insight on getting started and getting that first deal would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you all for welcoming me into this community!
