@Justin Lanciault i have mortgage payment but it’s only $600 bc i bought the home with someone else. Then utility bills and living expenses which comes up to around $400

@Alan C. What do you mean by you finance some of your rental deals ?

@Justin Lanciault yes it is a straight buy and hold I’m looking at the $80k to $100k range

I’m trying to purchase a rental property in Baltimore city. I have 30k in saving, i make close to 3k a month from my job and my credit score is over 700. With that said I’ve been struggling to find financing, I’ve been denied several times from banks and hard money lenders. Where can i go to secure financing ?

I'm interested in a property that is up for auction in several weeks. I plan on turning the home into a rental using the BRRR strategy. Since I'm a newbie I'm not sure what i should be looking at or what questions to ask so that i can properly assess whether this is a good investment or not. Any advice/guidance would be helpful.

@Brandon Roof what formulas do you use when assessing a property?

I wanted to talk to property managers who operate in Baltimore city. I’m currently looking at rental properties in 21206, 21214, 21218, 21224 zip codes and i would like to rent it out for $1500/month. I wanted to know if this was a realistic expectation to have given the areas I’m looking at. Im also aware that things can fluctuate in Baltimore from block to block.

@Nathanael Rojas thanks for the reply. When it comes to crime rate, what would turn you off a property?

So I’m a newbie. I’m looking to purchase a rental property in Baltimore City but I’m not sure what neighborhoods/zip codes i should focus on. Baltimore City is a tricky place when it comes to real estate and i want a property that’s going to retain its value or better. If you are familiar with the area any advice will be appreciated

@Melba Chambers thanks for the info
