@Nick Merryman  How awesome about your first property. We haven't pulled the trigger on ours yet but are in the process of at least getting pre-approved for a loan, which is further than we have made it before.

I have the same thought process about wholesaling and I am apparently clueless as to what it really is and how exactly it is done. Even the "getting started" podcasts I have listened to seem to start at a point past what I understand about it. 

So...all that today say...I would love to connect on here and find out your strategy. And if anyone can point me in the direction of Wholesaling 101 or Wholesaling for Dummies I am all ears. Like start at the VERY beginning! HA!

I just got started being really active on LI this year. I recently was invited to be a blogger so I go in every week and post new business listings.  I have picked up several leads through LI and one of my listings came from there.

I also try to go thru the "People You May Know" list at least twice per month and send out connection requests. It is truly a useful tool to get in front of those that you normally would not be able to - you completely circumvent gatekeepers!

@Adam Wright  I love your idea of thanking everyone for connecting with you as soon as they do!! Have you upgraded you membership? I have seen terrible reviews for it...

@Greg P.  I may be a total newbie when it comes to RE investing, but I am a business broker by trade. If I can be off assistance with valuing or negotiating a deal when purchasing a live business let me know - buying a selling businesses is completely difference than straight real estate!

@Bill Gulley  I have spent a lot of time in Springfield! Highway 65 has been widened most of the way to LR now. I live between LR and Bryant.
