Hi BP'ers!

I recently moved to UK (Scotland) and am looking to get started on rental properties. Problem is it seems no banks are willing to provide buy-to-let mortgages to foreigners. Any suggestions as to how to get around this issue? e.g. by forming a Limited Company or something similar.

Best,

Hello Charles,

We're actually looking for both :-)
As it is our first time doing HMO's, it would probably be easier but if the right deal is a conversion, it's no problem at all.

Hi guys,

My partner and I are new to the BP community and the adventure as real estate investors. We're from Denmark, currently based in Malaysia (for another couple of months), and are looking to invest in the UK housing market. Ideally, we're looking for an HMO (House in Multiple Occupation).

Does anyone here on BP have experiences from the UK housing market they'd like to share?

All the best,
Hannah and Kristian
