Thanks Matt for the reply. I do not think word warranty is right in this case. There is something was made to cause a damage on purpose or not. I will get in touch with builder and try to negotiate.

Hello, I have a water leak at my property. Water damage is quite big. The root cause is a nail in the pipe. Nail get rusted after 3.5 years of house build and water started going outside the pipe, flooded floor, ceiling and walls. It there any way to get reimbursed by home builder (richmond american homes)? Any recommendations? I also have property on the market for sale now and missed a great offer die to property damage. I have all pictures and a piece of pipe with rusted nail in it.

thanks
