Awesome Job! I especially love the barn doors...I want to try that in my personal home because they are expensive. I'm currently rehabbing my first rental so I'll be posting when we're done! Congratulations...well done!

@Anderson Schulle I'm interested in TK in your area...could you please send me more into on your company, etc.

Thanks.

That is a great question @Kerwin Montilla! There certainly is a great shortage of duplexes/quads/tris in Central FL areas. It seems that builders and developers are only interested in building townhomes and condos here!! I've been looking to purchase quads and dups in Killeen, Tx. (Ft. Hood) area because they are cheap (most under 200K) and because there's none here in Orlando...which would also be very expensive, I might add! I found an acre land in Apopka area that I'm thinking about building a Triplex or maybe even a quadplex. If that't what you want you'll have to build it yourself...I'm just lucky that my husband is a stucco/plastering sub-contractor with lots of General contractor friends!

Well, after all the readings/learning and webinars I am so excited to say that my hubby and I finally pulled the trigger and got our first rental property under contract, and will be closing in 2 weeks!! We will be implementing the BRRRR strategy and got financing with Private money. My hubby is a little anxious about getting refinancing as early a possible, so I'm thinking to get a head start on researching before the time comes...which is not more than 6 months. We will become new landlords very soon and it seems scary the more I think about it, but I have so much resources and help from my Bigger Pockets family that I'm beginning to feel more confident!! Any advice on refinancing or what we should/shouldn't do at this juncture would be appreciated. Thanks!

@Tim Nicholas Thank You for your explanation and encouragement...I will take your advice and pull the trigger with my first property (goal by end of March). Funding is my issue, but where there's a will there's always a way! Thanks again and best of luck building your portfolio.

Wow...Awesome! I missed the challenge but this is very inspirational for me! I have lots of equity in my home but my hubby is afraid to access it to begin building wealth through buy and hold. I want to understand more on how you did it so I can break it down to him in hopes that it'll stick in that rock hard brain of his!! My only other option is Hard Money and that requires at least 20% skin in the game...which I don't have! So, could you PLEASE give a step by step plan on how you accomplished this through HELOC and how you plan on repayment of the loan, rinse & repeat, etc. Great appreciate it, if you have the time. Thanks.

Way to go Michael! I have yet to make my first deal...its nail bitting to pull the first trigger!! I was also looking in Philly area, also near a university, and found some pretty decent prices. How did you fund the deal?

Awesome!! Love your story...very inspiring. I have almost perfect credit but don't know which bank to use...scared to pull the trigger and take action. Could you give me some advice on choosing a bank and which lender you used for this deal? Thanks!
