Greetings Everyone,

I'm interested in finally flipping my first property. Framework is laid (LLC, realtor (myself), contractors, etc.) and have been in discussion with a private lender (Spring Garden Lending), which is the route I'm choosing for my first project. Looking for a couple more private lenders in the local area to shop around before pulling the trigger. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

My business partner and I have decided to flip our first house. I've Googled the difference but would like some input on what we should be considering when deciding on an LLC vs LLP. FYI, if all goes well, we plan to do flips in DC, MD & VA.

Hey Folks,

I'm in a position where I can apply an additional $4000/month towards one of my investment properties and have it paid in full in approx 1.5 yr.  The idea of doing so, then snowballing the other 3 properties sounds like a no-brainer but I know this also puts me in a position to lose the tax deductions thereby increasing my chances of paying more in taxes (1st world problems).  Should I move forward with this plan or stack this money for another investment and maintain the "good" debt I have in these properties?  What are your thoughts...

Hey folks,

After acquiring my 4th property, it's definitely time to stop doing my own taxes and get a CPA or tax preparer on board that specializes in preparing returns for investors. Can anyone recommend a good one in the DC/MD/VA area? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I just heard about the idea of chunking down my mortgage on a rental property; sounds enticing to have an early payoff.  However, I also know that having this debt offers more tax deductions.  Of course, having a property free and clear and having more of your cashflow go toward taxes is a good problem to have but is this a route I should consider taking?  Am I really losing much on tax deductions once my property is paid in full?

@Brian Gerlach I figured doing the HEL first would cause an issue. Thanks for the insight!

I'm interested in taking out a home equity loan to invest in a property as a private lender. However, I am also about to start the the refi process on my house but don't want to miss this grand opportunity. Will the home equity loan act as a lien, preventing me from doing the refi? I know the lender would be my best bet for this question but wanted to hear thoughts from the crowd. Thanks in advance!
