@John Fossetti I still visit Boston every now and then. I had a rental property in Fenway, and sold it 6 months ago. If there is any good opportunity, I would definitely work in Metro Boston.

This site is so motivating. After I signed up yesterday, I started looking into lots of bank REO listing links posted by @Joshua Dorkin and found several candidates in my area, although it is near impossible to get anything under 100k around Metro NYC.

I am not sure yet, but given my past experience in architecture and construction, I am more interested in single family fix and flip deals. Or I can look into one multi family buy and hold since I am still renting.

I've been reading on and off this site and listening to podcasts. Thank you for all the great info and shared knowledge.

Little bit about myself..... My name is Kay, and a newbie from Mount Vernon, NY in Westchester County with my wife and a 6 months old daughter. I am a registered architect in Massachusetts and has experience in high-end residential and office construction in NYC, and currently doing freelance design build retail projects in Stamford, CT.

I want to be a real estate developer/ investor, and without knowing about this great site, I went to NYU to study real estate development and finance (master's). I should have known about this site then I could have saved 2 years and tuition. :)

Anyways, I signed up to see if anyone needs my help (construction and architectural) and/ or find a mentor, investor, partner, investment opportunity, and development opportunity.

I am looking for opportunity in Brooklyn, Bronx, Westchester Co., and Fairfield Co.

Is there any NYC meet ups?
