Hi Deborah, I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's devastating. I have 4 properties in Ft.Myers and was spared this time, but the anxiety is real.

I would have your tenants contact their renters insurance if they haven't already. Most plans will pay for temporary housing for situations like this, so at least you don't have to worry about that aspect.

Also if you want attorney advice on this situation I recommend the attorneys at www.evict.com. Their speciality is landlord tenant laws and they only serve Florida. They have been nice enough to answer questions for me throughout the years via email even though I don't have them on retainer.

I also have a great mold remediation guy who is based out of Ft.Myers, but his company has grown massively in the last 4 years so they may serve Tampa Bay now. So many mold companies are such scammers, and I trust the guy I use. I've done over 5 projects with him.

I recommend documenting everything with the damage through photos, videos, etc. before cleaning up.

Best of luck during this challenging time!

@Zoe Getzels thanks for reaching out. I’m pretty sure BPcon does not allow transferring this close to the event. 🫤 So I will be attending. I’m actually moving back to Cleveland at the end of this month, so would love to meet up if you come!

Hi All, I am unable to attend BPCON 2024. So I am looking to sell my ticket to someone. It is for an ocean view room, which I believe is now sold out. This ticket also comes with one of the workshops on Sunday. My total price was $3,036.24 and I am offering it for $2,500.

Please let me know if you are interested, thanks!

Hi Yong, you will need to contact the BP event team. BP prevents me from putting their email in my response, but the email is in your confirmation email for the conference. Good luck!

Hi Joe, thanks for reaching out! I just booked the conference dates, so that would be a 3 night stay. I was told you could contact the hotel directly to see if they could extend on either end and keep you in the same room. I never called to ask. So the nights booked are - Sunday, October 6th, Monday, October 7th, and Tuesday, October 8th. So checkout as it stands currently would be on Wednesday, October 9th. Let me know if you have further interest. Thank you!

Hi All, I am unable to attend BPCON 2024 now. So I am looking to sell my ticket to someone. I got early bird pricing and signed up for an option workshop on Sunday. If this workshop isn't of interest I've been told that you could change it to any other workshop that still had an opening. Please let me know if you are interested!

Hi All, I have a trash problem and I'm hoping one of you knows someone who can be my solution. I have a new short/mid term rental in Cle right by the Cle clinic. I'm currently an out of state investor, and I don't have enough booked guests yet where someone is there every week to wheel the trash barrels from the garage to the curb on Tuesday evening and then wheel them back into the garage Wednesday mid day. I've had a full barrel of the previous Airbnb guests' trash in the garage for 2 weeks now. I'm happy to pay someone on an ad hoc basis to help me with my trash when needed. So BP who do you know in CLE who could be my trash savior?  Thank you!!
