I did NYREI - you can't go wrong with it. @KJay Bratcher

Most of the online education and in-class education about the material is mindnumbing and you won't be using 95% of it in your day to day LOL!

Get a cheap course, join a good brokerage that has enough full time agents that will help you by taking you under their wing - that is going to teach you more than the course you buy and take.

Wow... thank you! Looking into some now! Black Friday deals are good too!

Hello @KJay Bratcher,

Agreed with @Jonathan Greene & @Mohammed Rahman

Everyone's learning style is different.

In-person courses could help you retain the information better. There is also the added bonus of networking with future colleagues in the class, finding accountability partners, etc.

I got licensed online with real estate express. I found them on groupon, where you can find a bunch of other courses < $300.

Additional resources I'd recommend are:
- The millionaire real estate agent by Gary Keller
- David Greene's books from the BP Bookstore
- The E-Myth by Michael Gerber
*** These are not resources related to the course but are helpful for anyone looking to get into the business

Thank you so much! I will look into these! I do love the networking aspect. I just heard it could take six months or so to get my license if I go in-person. Plus, the flexibility of being able to do it online works more for me. Maybe there are networking events that I can attend.

NYC is a very tough place to use a real estate license because it doesn't operate like other markets. Are you getting your NY license to do real estate business in NYC? The CE Shop is a good overall resource for courses for pre-licensing, but there are a million of them and they all generally do the same thing. If you really want to learn, in-person is the best.

Also, I was going to do real estate business in NYC. Based off what you're saying, maybe I should hold off and do elsewhere.

Hey @KJay Bratcher - good luck on your real estate journey!

There's a bunch of online courses available, look for the ones that offer the self-paced $100-$150 courses.

A lot of them charge much higher and include extra "material" but if my experience tells m anything, you won't need that.

Take the basic course requirements, complete the modules, and when its time to register for the state exam you can order a real estate exam question workbook from Amazon and use that to practice.

Thank you so much! I almost paid for one of the higher ones! I was interested in them helping me with job placement afterwards. This is very valuable information. I will look into these soon! I was thinking about Aceable Agent I think it's called and NYREI too. I prefer to do online.

Hello, everyone! My name is KJay and I am an aspiring real estate agent. I am passionate about day trading but real estate has been a field that I've been wanting to dive into. I do not have my license yet but I have been looking into the best online, self-paced courses that I could take advantage of. What are the best online real estate courses from your knowledge? I appreciate all of your feedback!
