The LL in LLC stand for Limited Liability. Liability in the case of RE means getting sued by a renter. If something happens and you end up losing a lawsuit, the most they can take from you is whatever's in the LLC at the time.

Hello everyone. I'm very excited about starting my real estate journey. 

I've been told to apply for an LLC to protect my rental home. I live in Florida, so I won't pay any sales tax. What is the importance of filing for an LLC?

I have been gifted a house which need about 20,000 in repairs. I'm lost. I decided to start reading real estate books and learning the business. Any advice someone more experienced can give, about how I can spin this into a profitable lifestyle?
