@Bryan Stein what cities have condos and townhomes that allow short term rentals in FL? We were thinking of a condo in Cape Coral but apparently most of their associations don’t allow them.

Wanted to update this thread Incase anyone finds it in the future. We found out that we could almost completely avoid capital gains through an exemption since we moved due to changing family size, so we will not be doing a 1031 exchange. However, we will be purchasing a STR most likely in Orlando area at some point soon.
