Thank you for the responses. @Petya Spencer, a UK solicitor and a few of my UK investor friends say you can and actually do a 'DIY' conveyancing for their  properties. Perhaps they have some sort of qualification??? @Cameron Andrews, I appreciate the offer however I am very active in my investments and acquire, project manage and dispose of them myself. The reason I ask about the conveyancing is because I find it to unnecessarily hold up the purchase/sale transaction at times resulting in the transaction falling thru. Thank you for the information. I appreciate it.

@Azeem Ali Hello. I am so sorry, I did not get your response until I logged into BiggerPockets for another reason. If you are still looking for some insight, here it is. It IS much tougher to invest in the UK if you are going to flip for several reasons: 1.) Too many days on the market which means higher overhead/longer carrying time. 2.) Too many people/professionals n any given transaction. 3.) Long wait times due to conveyancing (but I believe you can do your par yourself) but this does not speed up the other party's attorney. 4.) The taxes on top of taxes that you are subject to and fees. My last purchase took 4 months to complete and it was an all cash deal. The hold up was conveyancing. I for one, as a Realtor and investor, do my own property research/title research and contract execution and am qualified to do my own conveyancing. I do believe that this is something you can do for your own property, but am not sure if this is something you can do on another's behalf....as in representing a buyer/seller. This is what takes the bulk of the time.

Does anyone have experience with UK investments and executing the conveyancing on the sale/purchase of a property? If so, do you have to be licensed to do so, if not, what do the conveyancing steps entail?

I am a US investor and have purchased a property in the UK but had an attorney do the research/title work for me. I typically do this on my own stateside. I am wondering if I am legally able to do this work on my own as I am looking to purchase more properties in the UK.

Thanks for the input. It is much appreciated.

Hi there. I just came across these posts looking for information on international investing, creative financing and working as a home based estate agency in the UK. I am an American and while I am living in the states at the moment, I spent 6 years in Nottingham. Not far from Manchester. I do have experience investing, flipping, on both sides of the ocean. I am happy to answer specific questio
