Unfortunately I bought into one of the "gurus" and attended a 3-day training session to "learn" the different strategies. He basically talked about wholesaling and stated that the foreclosure market had dried up in this metroplex. During the training session he made wholesaling sound like it was an easy process and also stated the market to get into here was pre-foreclosures. Now that I have done more reading about wholesaling it is not going to be as easy as they made it out to be. Like others they kept saying you didn't need any money or credit either. I have some money, not a lot. I'm just not sure what I should try first to get started.

Hello everyone, my name is Kim Johnson and I live in Dallas, TX. I am new to real estate investing. I lost my job right before Thanksgiving last year and thought this would be a great time to do something I've always wanted to do. Before I lost my job I was already tired of working for someone else where my efforts weren't appreciated and not getting the $$ I needed to be financially comfortable. I am excited about this new journey in my life and I look forward to working to make this a successful one.
