Congrats!  Sounds like a slam dunk deal.  What was your refi interest rate?

Great information, Amanda! I am looking for an area to invest in to build my mid-term rental portfolio. I currently have three homes in Georgia, two are furnished rentals. This may be the perfect opportunity.  I'll reach out to you to gather more information.

I would be cautious, especially if it's regarding water damage. She definitely should have reported this on the disclosures, if it is true.  Sellers can cover up a lot, and inspectors don't always find what lies beneath.  Is legal action really worth it?  I made a huge mistake with wanting a house so bad that I overlooked issues.  Inspections didn't reveal anything, and now looking back, I should have never trusted the sellers.   I wouldn't close on a deal that I think could end in legal action.  Go through all the possibilities, and decide if it's worth it.  Good luck!

@Liz Faircloth I really had to think about what boundaries I'm pushing as I venture on this real estate investing journey.  I love most everything and have had a blast thus far.  This being my first post on BP after listening for years, it has to be getting myself out into the community in a bigger way!  A lot happening behind the scenes, but I'm committing myself to connecting more with fellow investors, and pushing myself to share more!  Thank you for building an amazing community of women.   I have to give a shout out to Tamar Hermes 'https://wealthbuildingconcierg..." and Aundrea Newbern (couldn't figure out the tag) for being incredible role models.  Looking forward to getting more involved with InvestHER!
