Hi Gerard,

Thanks for replying. The company I know about allows people to rent out their condo (thats apart of a resort) to guest. The guest is allowed similiar benefits/perks the owner has while renting the unit. Its just a matter of finding a company to help you rent it out especially if your not sure how to go about it. The resort im referring to is in the caribbean. The way they work is the owner has to give the guest a certificate to utilize their property. The company itself has many locations one can stay at, but Im assuming real estate laws are different for each, so one would have to research about each place before renting it out.

What is the name of your company?  Im interested in learning more about your company's criteria/process with renting out similiar units.

I know with vrbo or airbnb, there might be a comission fee or a fee of some sort for their services. Im not 100 % certain about their entire process as I am still researching it.

Also what is your opinion about these resort condo's? Do you think one can generate positive cash flow from renting it out? Is it worth it?

Appreciate all your feedback!

Thanks,

Kim

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience renting out their condo (not a time share) that they purchased from a resort. The package allows you to rent your condo (from resorts around the world), however you must find a company to help you with this. I looked into VRBO (vacation rental by owner) and AIRBNB to see what I can find. However I was wondering if anyone had  experience in this/ know anyone that has. Any feedback much appreciated!

Thanks,

Kim

@PhilBottfeld thanks for the info! All makes sense if you have a professional license... you have to put in the work to maintain in. Im still thinking about if I should get one. Is your main focus MLS?

@Lisa Kohl thanks for the advice. I have read alot of pros and cons of having a real estate license. I currently work a full time job. So getting into the real estate world would be a parttime goal. What is your specialty in real estate?

@Walter Key thanks for your feedback! I will be sure to continue reading through the education sections. What is your specialty in real estate?

Hello,

Im new to the real estate investment world. I have read a few books by barbara cocoran/bruce littlefield, joshua darkin, dave ramsey and william johnson. Im trying to gain as much knowledge to better educate myself. So far the areas im most interested in is flipping houses, buying multifamily homes (possibly live in it for a year or two, rent out the other section until im ready to rent both sections), rehabbing.

I know a person that I been picking their brains for advice which they have been great with sharing information. However I decided to join BP to gain more insight.

Also do I need a real estate license? I plan to buy homes with cash.

Please feel free to share any advice, experiences on your first time getting into real estate investment.

Thanks,

Kim
