Hello BP community!

I'm looking to pick some brains.

I'm a Lawrence,KS native, single mom, and moved back home about a month ago. After my husband passed away in October this area seemed to be calling me back. I've been learning about RE investing for a little over a year now. I'm interested in the NE Kansas area, not nessicarily just Lawrence.

I have lots of questions but let's start with how you got started. I love a good Real Estate story.

I'd love to sit down with someone in person but e-mail, phone call, text, on BP, carrier pigeon... etc. is fine with me.

Thank you in advance, I look forward to hearing from you!!!

I love the idea of house hacking but the problem is we're a family of 6 (2 of my own and 2 BYUI kids I've unofficially adopted). There aren't too many places that I've seen that could house all of us plus have another unit I could rent out.

I am starting the education part of my investing game. But I don't own my own house yet (primary residence). I am a would be landlord who still rents. Does that qualify as irony? lol I am fixing my credit but at this point it's a time game. I have no credit cards or car payments and only student loans to pay down which are less than 10k. I live in Idaho and because of the eclipse in August houses are selling FAST. I'm realizing that I don't have a point to this post just wanting ro get on the message board finally. Is there anyone in the NE Idaho area who is feeling my pain? Or any advice on anything I've mentioned? I'd love to sit down with someone in this area who is willing to share some insight. Happy deal hunting and happy memorial day!
I am an assistant manager at a very popular fast food restaurant. I want to invest badly where I live.
