@Michael Doherty Bad idea. How would you feel if someone talked about something that you have no interest in? At best you wouldn’t care

@David Medina I would park 30% of my gross income in an untouchable account while shopping for RE. I wouldn’t buy anything until I had at least $100k in this account

@Chris Jensen I learned that Great Recessions are the best time to buy real estate. I purchased short sales and REOs at huge discounts with no competition. Having done well in both the stock market and real estate, my opinion is that the OP has mischaracterized the US stock market to push their pro-RE narrative for whatever reason https://finance.yahoo.com/news/warren-buffett-sane-simple-retirement-063023939.html

@Mat O'Grady Assuming that the homes cash flow, I like #2
@Manuel Angeles In the last Great Recession I picked up 15 SFR free and clear with cash. If a Great Depression comes, I’m going to buy apartments free and clear with cash

Hi, I'm looking to access the equity of my 10 mortgage-free SFH rentals

I know that I can set up a HELOC for each home, but that will give me 10 different HELOC accounts to manage, which would be a PITA

Are there any alternatives I should consider?

Thanks!
