Do I need to obtain a buisness license to have rental properties?

@George Blower

Thank you! I should be receiving more info in the mail soon. Is there any other things I should look out for in this process?

@Jeff Greenberg

Thank you for your advice. Do you recommend any way I can educate my self and my coworkers on this subject .

Then I would be able to invest that in something other than the stock market like real estate? Thank you for your response!

The company I currently work for  is going to sell or spin off the company and the new company will have a new 401k plan . What are my options with my old 401k plan after this happens?
