@Laura Chevalier I ended up bailing on the idea.  It's too far of a drive to check up on it and I know what that will lead to; it won't be good.  

Thanks for the reply, I read something similar since I posted that that was very similar to what you said. I decided against that area because of the visiting 1 to 2 times a month for a little while. It’s too far of a drive for those kinds of visits.

I’ve been reading a lot about the importance of really good photography for short term rentals. Does anyone know of or have any experience with any photographers in the Finger Lakes area for a short term rental? I’m interested.

comps are similar and we are about 2 miles from the event and for our area it's a big deal.  I got in inquire for one night at almost 5 times the normal rate.  My gut tells me to hold out, the event is 7 months away.  

Does anyone do anything different when a major golf event is in town?  has anyone required a two night min or a 5 day min?

Does anyone have a good app suggestion for importing Lowes and HD, and other receipts into a spreadsheet?   I have some receipts with furniture, cleaning supplies, other misc. items on there and I'd like to separate all of that to drill into start up costs on my recent short term rental purchase.  I've got a ton of receipts and they all have different categories of products on them.  Inputing them in manually will take forever.  Any help would be great.
