Hello all! I was referred to this community by a friend of mine and I am already learning so much just from the podcasts! A little about me. I am a Boston, MA native but am currently living in San Diego, CA (El Cajon more specifically). I will be leaving the military in a few months and am looking to start a career in real estate. I am in the fresh stages of basic real estate education so I look forward to learning more from this community!

First post here! I'm am currently going through the same predicament. I have been educating myself with the free resources available but I was also interested in obtaining a license. From some of the research I have done, it seems like in CA that you need to be working with a broker for the first couple of years once you get your license. For the CA folks, am I able to just get my license so that I have access the the MLS and other resources without having to work for the broker unless I decide I want to in the future?
