@Joshua D. My primary motive for investing in real estate is retirement income. I am not confident that traditional retirement accounts that sustain the lifestyle I'd like to live in the future. I strongly believe in generating solid passive cash flow for the future.

@Michael Boyer Yes, housing prices are too much here. I'm not hesitant to look out of the state but in state options would be fantastic.

@Joe D. Thanks Joe! Looking forward to connecting on the forum.

@Ryan Landis Hey Ryan, that's a great tip. I'm definitely looking to learn from established investors in the area. I'm also open to doing deals in Sacramento if the numbers are right. Maybe this is something we could connect about privately.

Hi everyone,

I'm an aspiring investor, living in San Francisco (arguably the most expensive real estate market in the US). Since moving here in 2011, I've seen the rent go from expensive to absolutely ridiculous. Professionally, I've worked in consulting, and now work in tech. Real estate has always piqued my interest, but I'm only now taking action.

A college friend and I are looking into investing in a SFR in the Pear Land/Sugar Land Texas area. However, we are open to additional locations if the numbers make sense.

Looking forward to connect with all,

Kevin

Hello, I'm the friend that Toan referenced above. I too have been interested in Real Estate for awhile now. I previously heard of Bigger Pockets from Andrew Warner's Mixergy podcast and am now looking to take action to acquiring a first investment property. Unfortunately the bay area has largely priced us out, so we are looking to invest in the Texas area. I'm looking forward to learning about all aspects of the real estate business, particularly on how to invest out of state.

Looking forward to connecting with all in the community.
