Thank you for your input. I will really need to weigh the pros and cons.

Thanks for the info. I will check it out.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if installing an alarm system in the property would bring Added value or if it is just a waste of money? The alarm system would cost about $50 per month, I can rent the home out for $1200 per month without it. Would I be able to charge more for having the alarm system installed Or would I have to eat the $50 cost but have a tenant that feels more secure?

Hello bigger pockets community. I just purchased my first rental property in Wilmington DE  yesterday and I need some help finding a roofer and someone to replace a central AC. Does anyone know any reputable companies? Thank you.

Thank you everyone for your input. You all saved me a lot of time trying to figure out this situation. I will call the utility companies and ask what their fee is for turning on the utilities then go from there.

Taylor,

Thank you. I do plan on keeping the property as a rental. That is a good idea to keep them on and not turn them off again.

If everything goes well closing should be the last week of June. This will be my first investment property.

Hey BP community. I am trying to purchase a REO property and all the utilities are turned off. My agent just called me and said that the bank would not pay to turn them on for the inspection. Does anyone have any experience on how much it would cost to turn them on in Wilmington Delaware?

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I will make sure to give these guys a call today. I hope to close on my first property in a few  weeks so I want to be prepared before my tenant moves in.

Hello I am looking to do buy and hold in New Castle County, Delaware. I am looking for a good real estate attorney and an accountant that specializes in real estate in the area. Thanks.
