@Ryan Allison

Depends where I end up working after I graduate, but I like both greater New York City and Greater Boston areas.

Thank you for your reply as well!

I have been listening to the podcasts that is actually how I found out about the website (kind of reverse order I know).  In regards to you saying you understand the language more, I definitely find that to be important as well. I do remember one quote from one the early podcasts one of them had said something along the lines of  "to upgrade your life, upgrade your vocabulary"  I don't remember the exact quote, but it stuck with me and I agree that understanding the vocabulary in real estate business is imperative. Thanks again!

Thank you for replying to my post as well!  Do you find Greenwich to be a good location for rentals or do you focus on the surrounding areas like Norwalk, Stamford or White Plains?  Have you always lived in Connecticut?

I have noticed that I recognize a lot of the terms that they refer to on the Bigger Pockets Podcast from my finance courses, as well as my Real Estate Law class I took as an elective.  I do feel that has helped propel me a little bit.  For the time being, I'll remain patient and focus on loving the process and gaining knowledge so I'll be prepared when the opportunity comes.  Thanks again!

@Nicholas L.

Thank you for the reply, Are you from Stamford as well? I wanted to ask how long have you been investing in real estate, and if you are doing it part-time or full time?  Do you find that Connecticut has certain areas that are better for rentals than others?  Thanks again!

I am a 22-year-old from Connecticut and I go to college outside of Boston studying finance.  I want to start a career in real estate as soon as possible once I feel I have enough foundational knowledge.  I'm looking to understand more about obtaining rental properties, how to purchase them, manage them, and how to properly take care of tenants.  I am also interested in flipping properties and hope to do bigger deals in commercial real estate, as well as own a property management company in the future. I'm only hoping to get pointed in the right direction, thank you in advance!

Please let me know if there is a better place to ask questions like this here if at all, thank you.
