Hi all - I've been a lurker for a very long time.   I'm wondering about the viability of getting into note investing for someone like myself.  I am currently a consulting manager, at a technology and management consulting firm.  I have no real experience in real estate, other than purchasing my own residence.   I have been reading quite a bit, but I know that's no replacement for professional training and experience.  I'm essentially coming from square 1.

I'm later in my career, and am currently thinking of notes in terms of providing diversity in my portfolio, supplemental income, and providing better returns than the market.   However, I'm also wondering what the viability of making it my primary source income as I transition out of the corporate world.

So , that's it in a nutshell.  Possible? Pipe-dream?
