Yes, we are chatting with multiple brokers and the most important thing is that we are much more informed now. Even though they can chat away and sell their services and take over an hour to do it... I already learned a lot of info about pricing, the area, comps and the competition we are going against locally.

That brings me to my next question. What is the most common commission rate and does it effect the way my seller's broker will work with other brokers? I'm seeing 4-6 percent is pretty common so far in Queens, NY.

Hello Experts!

I'm trying to list my property for sale on Trulia (No Broker). Does anyone know if this is free for me? Or do I need to be a real estate professional? From what I see online, it's free to list, but I always get stuck on the sign up / sign in screen. So it doesn't seem to work. Do I need to find

Yup, for some reason during the Trulia Business Sign In Process I keep getting silently rejected. I posted on Zillow for free with no problems. FSBO and ForSaleByOwner (I think different companies) both charge fees. I don't think I need to be on the MLS though since in NY FSBO means no broker needed! Trulia seems to be the most popular site for people just searching for homes.

Hey Kevin, when looking at the estimated returns on each RealtyShares deal, are the actual outcomes on point? I've invested in Prosper before and it was nightmare! I'm currently in the waiting period after signing up for RealtyShares.

Post: Atlanta Buy, Hold, Rent Regulations

I would like to learn about the regulations in Atlanta regarding limits on rental tenants. I have heard that it's near impossible to buy a condo now to rent out to someone. Is this the case in Atlanta? I was curious about townhomes and single family homes that have HOA's as well. I used to live in Atlanta but don't anymore. Ideally, I would like to purchase a home or townhome and hold on to it while hiring a local property manager.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello All!!! In New York, I went to my Chase banker and they said it's impossible for them to give me a home equity line of credit on my free and clear condo investment apartment that I rent out. I guess this is true with their bank, but has anyone done this with another bank? Thanks!

Are there any real books or ebooks out there regarding commercial New York City zoning, laws, requirements, limits? Other than the NYC website, we are looking for a resource we can use to see if a piece of land can be developed.

Thanks
