When I look at the property records for the property it has Deutsche Bank listed as the owner and the OWCEN Mortgage Servicer listed as the co-owner. The reply I got was from reaching out to Deutsche Bank. They've been listed as an owner since 2018 and history records show that the property was foreclosed in 2018.

Hello All!

So I was looking into a property and this house has been held by the loan company since 2018. After reaching out to the bank the backs the loan company they sent me this "The appropieate party to contact would be the mortgage loan servicer, but I show previous conversations with them that this loan has been liquidated and they are working on a lien release to be recorded in the county"

What am I to make of this, are they giving the property back to the town?

Thank you in advance

it's in a good town where I live, it has unpaid taxes on it around 30k it could easily have an ARV of 130k. I say really bad only cause it sticks out like a sore thumb, I've only seen the outside and the vegetation has taken over.

Evening !

So I have a weird situation and would like some feedback in regards to it. So I was looking for some properties this evening and I found a potential. I research the property and find that the owner has not paid taxes since 2013ish and the property is now in the state of being foreclosed due to that. I then began to look for the owner to do a cold call and also send a mailer. As I'm looking for him his name pops up in WebSleuth as a missing person since 2018. I see he has relatives, should I reach out to them or should I leave it alone? I drove by the house and it is really, really run down.

At this point would it even be possible to get the home, since he might not have a power of attorney seeing as he is missing?

Thoughts, ideas?

I've been mainly looking in the Hartford area just because I'm currently living in the area. But I've seen deals in New Milford, Bethel,  and Somers. So while I'm not particular to one area, I've just focused more in Hartford. How about yourself I see you invest in the New England area as well?

Well Hello There!

My name is Kevin Craig and I'm looking to get started in Real Estate in CT. I'm looking to wholesale first, simply for the fact it seems to need the least capital to get started but that doesn't mean that's the only way I would like to get my 1st deal.

I'm currently in the Information Technology field, and look for deals whenever I can. Most of the deals I'm finding (only because that's what I'm currently looking for) are tax delinquent properties. My current job allows me to drive all over CT and I have been doing the Driving for Dollars and have seen some potentials!

I feel my biggest challenge is I don't know where to start. I get sucked into researching a property and seem to get in analysis paralysis.

I've been interested in Real Estate mainly because of my family, I have 2 beautiful girls and another on the way, and I would love to spend more time with them and at the same time still keep a roof over our head.

I'm glad I took a step and introduced my self to the Bigger Pockets Community!
