Thanks Jonathan! Glad to be here. I see you're in Virginia Beach.  Have you been to any TRIG meetings? I went to my first one yesterday. It was very informative and there were about 300 people in attendance. Many different levels of experience investing were in the room and most are willing to share their expertise. Hello, I am Kevin Harris of Chesapeake, Virginia and I found Bigger Pockets after finding one of their books in the Kindle Store. I am currently the Director of Building Services for a large church in my area and my wife, LaShunda, is a both a teacher and a real estate agent. We have been looking for another stream of income that will last after we retire and decided that real estate was the way to go. My first impulse was to get my license and partner with her in real estate, but after reading everything we could get our hands on, we decided that we should become investors using her knowledge of real estate and my connections to contractors. A friend suggested we check out the local REI group and we attended our first meeting last night. Looking forward to meeting and interacting with folks who are like minded and motivated to succeed. We are going to focus on rehabbing and flipping to start and are hunting our first deal and the money to fund it. Thanks for providing this site with so much information.
