I recently moved to the greater Seattle area and I am looking into purchasing my first vacation rental. I own an LTR on the east coast but do not have any experience with STR's. I am looking for a condo/townhome with 1-2 bedrooms. Do any vacation-rental owners in Seattle have any tips on their experience with starting the process? Would it be beneficial for me to create an LLC? Any and all input is appreciated!

I currently live on the West Coast, but I am looking to purchase a short term rental on the east coast (NH). Does anyone have tips on how to manage the renovation/furnishing process remotely? I'm not concerned about the purchase process or managing from across the country, but I am wondering if there is anyone here that has been able to renovate and furnish their STR property from another state.

I am in the market to rent out my first property as an LTR. Should I take the time to meet with a lawyer/real estate agent to prepare my rental property? Is it acceptable to use a general lease agreement found on the internet? And what are some of the best ways I can protect my property? Any and all tips would be appreciated!
