My name is Kent and I am a real estate agent. I come from a family of investors that own and manage many residential and commercial units. I grew up visiting my grandfathers properties and learning the ropes from a young age and got to the point one of my concentrations in college was real estate and real estate finance. I furthered my passion by acquiring a license and starting in development and leasing with commercial firms. Some of my primary clients included fortune 500 3PL companies, automotive suppliers and manufactures in addition to other larger big box users. My work has taken me from leases on Wall St in NYC to small industrial leases in Joliet, IL and beyond. My least favorite work is retail and office but I have dabbled in that as well. The past few years I have been working in sales as an agent for residential properties and this has become very exciting in addition to successful for me.
Now that I have mentioned my background I will share what I am here for and hope to achieve. I certainly am not looking for a place to sell myself as I do that all day at work, rather I would like to fill in my deficiencies with some of the brilliant people on this site and hope to share some thoughts and experiences as well.
My objective going forward is to transition out of sales into a portfolio as an owner so I can spend more time building a family and enjoying life. If I can do this before I burn out in sales I will be doing fine. A cousin of mine shared his experience here and the podcasts so I was hooked as we are young and hoping to work together to build our portfolios up.
