Jordan Moorhead are you living in one side or is that $1200 for both sides? I'm proud of you man of making it happen. I know that's a huge step and howl fully my wife and I can achieve it.

Hey John Woodrich thanks for the heads up. My wife and I currently live in West Bloomington so we understand that north Minneapolis can be a lil tricky to navigate. The hard part we are finding is that everything in the southern suburbs are in the 350k and up. Right now we are looking at the uptown/ south Minneapolis area. We are currently using the 1% test (the 2% seems Unfathomable with the prices of houses in the twin cities) to rule out some of the duplex's around here. Jordan Moorhead do you mind if I ask how much rent it? Would be interested to see what's the Roi on a multi for 177 in north east Minneapolis.

@Scott S. thanks so much for the info!!! It's always good to have someone from the Minneapolis area focusing on REI. I'm finding that things in our area is quite expensive compared to what is talked about in the BP podcasts so I'm trying to interpret the information for our context.

Hi everyone! My name is Ken and I'm excited about string into Real Estate Investing. My wife and I started looking for a home in the twin cities area a few months ago when someone gave us the great advice about getting into multi family homes. It intrigued us so we've been doing our HW and found BP which is a gold mine. We are now in the hunt for a duplex in Minneapolis. Wish us luck! On a personal note - my wife and I both work at a university here called Bethany Global University. She is the Dean of Women and I am the Dean of Work Education & Operations. :) Been living in MN for lil over 3 years. Moved from TX but originally from NYC.
