Post: Looking to Connect w/ Commercial Construction Companies in Idaho

We are currentlyy considering the lower part of the state everything from Moscow down, but have eyes on Boise area, McCall, Ketchum or wherever has the best potential for a short commute, good work life balance for a young family, access to outdoors and where we can potentially do a 1 year owner occupied rental while also possibly flipping some properties.

I currently work in commercial construction so I'm wanting direct referrals for companies that have a strong reputation for both employment and commercial real estate connections. Thanks so much!

Hi there,

My wife and I will be making the trip to Idaho in September to scout out some real estate opportunities, this will be part work, part vacation. I'm looking for personal referrals to commercial construction companies in Idaho that have an upstanding reputation. I have found the biggerpockets network to be so helpful and am hoping for the same since a simple internet search in this field often leaves me scratching my head and doesn't provide enough information. I think a grassroots effort with personal referrals would be best. Thanks!

Thank you all so much for your input! My wife and I are still reading through these and taking a deeper dive into each of these locations. Thanks so much for your time in typing these out, they're incredibly helpful!

Hi there! I'm from Colorado. My wife & I are headed to Idaho in August. We are going to make our trip part business, part vacation. What areas are great for work/life as a young family, we will potentially move there so looking for areas we can connect with realtors in advance to get a better idea. We have researched quite a bit online but wanted personal references.

We want some direct advice on where to visit and look as a potential town to live in. We have two young children, 4 & 18 months. We love being outside. I am in commercial construction and will be exploring employment options/companies in advance as well.

In your personal experience and opinion what are the top areas to explore and consider for living with a young family who values community, work/life balance and easy access to outdoor activities.

Post: Thoughts on Obtaining Real Estate License in Colorado

Hi everyone!

Thoughts on obtaining a real estate license in Colorado?

My husband was born and raised in Colorado and we now reside just outside of San Antonio, TX. While the cost is low(er) what we value as a family isn't met as far as the outdoors and climate, it's HOT and humid. We love Colorado but are obviously aware of the fact it isn't what it used to be, neither is San Antonio.

My husband is in commercial Construction with experience in residential. I am seriously considering the idea of pursuing real estate full(ish)-time and working together as a team on all spectrums of real estate: sales, rentals, renovations, getting homes sell ready, while investing in other markets for long term rentals.

I wanted to hear from someone who has gone this route and taken on real estate full(er)-time in Colorado (even though I'd prefer it to be more middle ground.)

If/when we sell we will have a large amount of equity out of our home, zero debt and a fully funded safety fund. We are a young family with 2 small children, open to opportunity in a climate that we love and enjoy, though we love Colorado because it is a direct flight to and from Texas where my family is. A move, paired with the uncertainty of COVID and the somewhat opposite political climate in Colorado are somewhat of a deterrent for me being born and raised in Texas but I absolutely love what Colorado has to offer from an activity and lifestyle perspective.

Wanting all the thoughts from a personal and real estate perspective. Thanks in advance!
