Southwest Florida is one of the areas we are considering retiring in; we would like to buy a home to use as a vacation rental to assist with paying it off before we retire.  We like the Fort Myers area but are open to most Southwest locations; beachfront is not necessary and we’re not looking to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars. What areas would you recommend?

Ty for the insight!

My husband and I would really like to get back into flipping homes as a preference rather than having rentals. Where is the best market to get into that has the lowest buy in and with the best return on investment?  I want to be able to pay off my student loans and also catch up on our retirement.

On the flipside if obtaining rentals became the best option despite our desire to flip again, what would be the best market to buy in with the lowest investment but good return?

We used to flip homes with profit and loved it; we really wanted to do it again. Ty for the input!
