It would be my husband and son. We are currently looking at a duplex to get our foot in the door for REI. IT would be a 2bd 1 bath and same for the upstairs which i would rent out

Thank you . This might be a rookie mindset is it bad I don't care for cash-flow at the moment in my eyes if someone helping me pay down my mortgage and build equity I'm okay with that. But my thinking could be off. I'm looking towards house hacking my way to least 10 properties is the goal

Hello BP new to the forms and new to RE investing. I've been debating on house hacking into homes because  prices of homes are just so pricey. My question is ,is house hacking dead and to live rent free no longer exist in todays market ? I'm looking at a duplex and id owner occupy it . My game plan is to buy & hold MFH to build my portfolio off appreciation due to cashflow home seems so hard for me in my market
