@Robert Koncal

Awesome, thank you for reaching out and the great information. We actually just booked the flights for March 30- April 10. Just trying to confirm a place to stay this go around.

I would love to meet up and also attend any get togethers or conferences!

@Janice V.

Thank you for the info! Hopefully we can follow in your footsteps!

@Mike V.

Good to know! Do you have any other recommendations?

Good day BP’ers.

With working for long periods of time in isolation (25+ day shifts in the bush) in the Canadian oilfields, it gives me a lot of time to brain storm.

My latest idea had been if I were to rent a place in Hawaii and split it amongst a group of friends to make it affordable and have a safe haven to escape to on days off year round. IDEAL situation would be to do short term (Airbnb) rental when it is not in use to supplement this luxury but I do realize with zoning laws/subletting and being a foreigner it may be problematic.

I will be travelling to Ohau on March 27th - April 4th 2020. (Will be my third trip to Hawaii.)

So a few questions

1. Has anyone out there travelled down this road before?

2. Is there any real estate realtors/investors/rental agents that have recommendations?

3. Would anyone in Hawaii like to meet up during that time and network?

Ultimately, By trying to design my life I plan on relocating for -55 Celsius arctic weather down to Hawaii and this seems like the first step in the right direction

Thank you for the advice! I appreciate and will dove into REIN’s material. I have bounced in and out of it for the past half year or so. A personal limitation I’ve been placing on myself is more so information overload. -like Grant Cardone said, get yourself one guru, listen to only one person and forget the rest because they’ll start contradicting each other and you’ll be so confused that you won’t know where to start

@Sean Kollee

Great advice, thank you for the response!

So I’ve read Stefans books in the past and paid a premium price for them, then they put you into a funnel and do continuous sales calls. After being transferred to the “next tier” sales guy I almost bought into a $37,000 coaching program (with promo pricing of 31g if I put a deposit down.)

Before I give away hard earned money with partial debt, does anyone have reviews, advice or guidance on such education?

I am in the northern Alberta Canada market, Stefan is based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada which is relatable in structure and governing laws in Alberta.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am currently looking to do a BRRR. The house is listed with "extremely motivated sellers." Cosmetically it is distressed, but with good bones. I am currently trying to leverage funds from friends/family with a high return on cash over a 6 month time frame.

A little back story-

My name is Kelley, and have lived my entire life in the Lakeland. I started working in the oilfield right out of high school, from working the rigs, to operating heavy equipment.

For the past 6 years I’ve ventured in and out of entrepreneurial journeys trying to escape the brutal lifestyle that oil brings. Keep in mind that I did this all as a side hustle, while working full time in the oil and shallow utility field. First starting out with small scale landscaping, then jumping over to the next “get rich quick” idea. At that point I started a taxi company with my father, did that for a while until I pulled the plug due to conflict with family/business and overall safety concerns. Two years later my father was hijacked, stabbed and left for death on the side of the road while driving his cab in the middle of winter (he survived thankfully.) Following this attack, I had irrationally thought it would be a good idea to start a towing company without market research or strategy. After two years of struggling with road block after road block I pulled the plug on that, and went back to the oilfield.

A little less than a month ago I rented a house that had been on the market for a very long time and wasn’t selling. I furnished the house and currently doing short term rentals on it. So that brings me to today, wanting to continue the momentum and design the life I want to live- not forced to live.

I'm a avid audiobook listener, podcast consumer and gym lover. In the past I've only been focused on get rich quick (maybe I still am.) How ever I have been studying and leaning towards doing BRRR's. With goals of transitioning into a semi-investor/property manager role.

I would love to connect with you! I am always looking for creative conversations, and positive criticism. If you’re reading this, drop me a message and let’s get a conversation started! Opportunity doesn’t find you, you find it.
