I am looking for a cpa very knowledgeable in real estate so I can get the absolute most tax benefits. My current cpa just seems to know the basics and I don't wanna miss out on every deduction possible. I would be fine with an online cpa or if I can get recommendations of one around the central/southern Illinois area that would be great too. Thanks!

Any REI's in the Alton, IL market in here? Just looking for some advice on the overall market and some cleaning and handyman companies you would recommend. Looking mostly on the str side but any advice I can get would be greatly appreciated!

My wife and I are very serious about starting our rei business. We don't currently have a property although we have narrowed down the market and have been looking at a lot just haven't found the right deal. Only thing concerning me is as we scale larger in the years to come the large amount of debt we will incur. I understand tenants will be paying it down but being totally debt free for 2 years now it just concerns me getting into a large amount of debt. Just thinking if we focus on $100k homes and over the next 5 years buying 2 a year we could be at a million in debt.  Just needing some different ways of thinking about this to put my mind at ease. Thank!

Quote from @Matthew Crivelli:

Buy the land in your name. You can always transfer the property into an LLC later if it's needed. An LLC is not going offer any benefits at this point in time.

But can I claim it as a business expense right now? If so I'd need it in llc

I will begin the purchasing process of a half acre wooded lot on kentucky lake next week. Our plan is to eventually (2 or 3 years) to put a small cabin on it and use as a family vacation home and a str while we're not there. My question is do I put the land into my llc or just place it under my name? Thanks!

I am very new to rei. My wife and I are looking to buy our first property before the end of this year. Our long term goal is to purchase many more properties and hold them. Long and short term rentals. Just curious with all the financing options out there which is the best for our situation? FYI we do have our personal home fully paid off.

I am new to rei and was wondering about the debt we get into. As we keep scaling more properties and acquiring more debt from each one do we basically just have mountains of debt the rest of our lives as other people pay it down? Or am I missing something? Thanks
