@Mat O'Grady treat others how you want to be treated. Also consider would you want this family to financially hurt themselves for you? It’s not about helping or not helping so much as how much help should given. Just an opinion.

@Robin Casper it is the few who ruin it for the many. When people are obviously dodging ethical trade and skimming legalities new policies will follow in time. Policies that only hurt the rest of us. This will not end well for anyone. Not realtors, not banks, not the families renting, and not the guy doing this. A politician might find a way to leverage some favor out of this but that’s about it.

@Merritt S. Learned what this meant the hard way lol. I understood the words I was reading but not the meaning behind them. Value is in the negotiation.

Purchased and living in single family home. Currently renting a room to tenant who will rent entire property when my family moves out in approx 6 months. Property needs deck replaced and more importantly foundation leveled. The kitchen kinda slants and there are settling cracks in walls and ceiling.

Question: How do I shop around for the best job at the lowest price? My primary concern is that the job won’t last and I’ll find myself needing it redone within a few years. The home is relatively new. Built 2008.

@Mags S. I noticed this was written in 2016. Does this comment remain true still. If it has changed, why and how? I am about to rent my first property and am looking for insight. Thankyou Mags S.
